  • President's Message

    Dear Delta Chapter Members,

    I am honored and excited to serve as president of the third-oldest Sigma nursing chapter in the world. The Delta chapter has a rich tradition of philanthropy, leadership development, and member engagement that I hope to continue. This is reflected in Delta Chapter being a 15-time recipient of the Chapter Key Award, which recognizes chapters that excel in chapter-related activities, including membership recruitment and retention, publicity and programming, professional and leadership development, and local, national, and international collaboration. As nurse leaders, we should always strive to advance the practice of nursing by engaging in acts of justice, inclusion, and advocacy to enhance the health and well-being of our peers, colleagues, and the communities in which we work and live. This can be achieved through collaborative opportunities and experiences that promote engagement, leadership, and research.

    I am passionate about supporting the Delta Chapter to continue to build a community of passionate nurses who strive to develop healthier, equitable, diverse communities that reflect Sigma’s attributes of love, courage, and honor.
